Meltblown cloth is an important raw material for mask making. Meltblown cloth is mainly made of polypropylene, and its fiber diameter can reach 1 to 5 microns. The microfiber with unique capillary structure increases the number and surface area of the fiber per unit area, so that the meltblown cloth has good filtration, shielding, thermal insulation and oil absorption. It can be used in air and liquid filter material, isolation material, absorption material, mask material, heat preservation material, oil absorption material and wiping cloth and other fields.

The structure of a surgical mask should be at least three layers. The outermost layer is PP non-woven fabric (common layer), the middle layer is melt-blown fabric (main filter layer), and the inner layer is skin-friendly non-woven fabric (waterproof treatment)Medical mask and N95 mask are composed of spunbonded layer, meltblown layer and spunbonded layer, in which, the spunbonded layer and meltblown layer are composed of polypropylene PP material, meltblown cloth filter material is made of polypropylene microfiber randomly distributed and bonded together, the appearance is white, flat and soft, the fiber fineness of the material is 0.5-1.0μm. The random distribution of the fibers provides more opportunities for thermal bonding between the fibers, resulting in a larger specific surface area and higher porosity (≥75%) of the meltblown gas filter material. Through the high voltage electret filtration efficiency, the product has the characteristics of low resistance, high efficiency and high dust tolerance.

Melt-blown non-woven process: polymer feeding - melt extrusion - fiber formation - cooling - into a network - reinforcement into cloth. Different production equipment, the process is different.

The purification principle of melt-blown cloth purification workshop (asepsis room) :

Air flow → initial effect air treatment → air conditioning → medium effect air treatment → fan pressurized air supply → purification air supply pipe → high efficiency air supply outlet → clean room → dust (bacteria) away → return air passage → fresh air, initial effect air treatment.
